Tribute
This year's Summer Social will be celebrating the life of Tom Brigandi's best friend, Bob Discolo (July 12, 1961 – March 18, 2024), who had a storied 35+ year career as an asset allocator. Over the past 25 years, Bob most recently served as the CIO and CEO of NYC-based Family Office River Partners Capital Management, as Executive Vice President at the Permal Group and as Managing Director and Head of the Hedge Fund Strategies Group at AIG Global Investment Group. Bob also served in the US military and was a champion for the underdog and the underserved. Bob gave Tom Brigandi the idea to begin the Thomas R. Brigandi Foundation and he strongly supported the causes of the Foundation, especially providing support to NYC college students who are Pell Grant students in financial need and rehabilitating schools in West Africa.
